How It’s Made

Handmade using only quality beef and lean pork and following traditional fermenting and smoking methods, we produce a shelf stable product without fillers or binders and containing as few additives as possible. All products are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Food Safety


In 2007 our first facility was licensed with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) which investigates provincial registered food manufacturers in terms of safety and quality standard procedures.

Atwood Heritage expanded to two establishments by the end of 2017 and the second facility has been registered as a Canadian Federal meat plant. By taking the HACCP certification, one of the most practical tools for food safety and quality assurance, under the investigation of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) qualified the business to sell products across Canada.

Quality Assurance management (Mr. A. Abbasifar) controls the HACCP system regarding federal inspection regulatories.

We have high standards for cleanliness and safe food handling. Our staff is committed to producing a product of high quality and delicious authentic flavour in a safe and sanitary environment.

  • Production procedure has been validated for food safety by University of Guelph, Department of Food Science.

Have Sausages Made With Your Own Meat

Atwood Heritage would be delighted to help you process your meat into tasty products that you, your friends and your family will enjoy!

We offer our services for Custom / Farm gate processing. Services include processing your meat to your specifications, recipe and spice requests, as well as designing labels with your business information on the product packages.

Wishing to process your wild game into summer sausage, snack stix or farmer’s sausage? We require a minimum amount of 25 lbs to be processed for 1 batch of meat. Wild game processing is a huge hit so please contact us to slot your meat into our processing schedule and we will be happy to help you!

Wholesale order are a minimum of $200.00 of product. Wholesale customers must make a 75% down payment when picking up the order, and the remaining balance must be paid in the following 30 days.
